A Deal A Week
Updates and Dog Bites
Well, I am certainly not the only agent who was forced to change offices. I am just fortunate to have the support and the opportunity awareness from this group.
I landed in the CB Glendale office in a delightful view office with it's own AC control. (Is this a chick's dream, or what?)
As I almost literally have this office on my birth certificate, this is not a very big change for me. I get along well with the manager and it is closer to my base of business which, just as a reminder, is Glendale, La Canada, La Crescenta and parts of Burbank. Just in case you had a referral, ya' know.
So, on to door knocking stories. While I have not been very good about posting numbers (shh, don't tell coach) I have been knocking, contacting and making connections. Today I was on a very nice street and opened the white picket gate to a very nice, rolling green lawn.
Halfway across the lawn I hear a low growl of some heinously large dog, but I see nothing. 2 steps later I hear a deep bark from aforementioned monster dog, but still, I see nothing. I'm actually sure this dog must be inside the house. All of a sudden this gigantic buff mastiff/great dane is loping across the lawn toward me and I'm thinking "oopsie" but not that nice, if you know what I mean.
He stops about 3 feet from me looking at me quizzically. I turn slowly toward the exit when he lunges forward and nips at my butt! I hear the fabric tear as I dash through the gate, safe and bodily unharmed. Wish I could say the same for my favorite linen pants.
So, where is the opportunity? Well, I had a great chat about the incident 3 doors up the street and that led to a showing of the house and a great addition to my drip campaign and I left a friendly note to the homeowner to suggest a beware of dog sign on the gate. This led to a concerned call from the homeowner and a chance for me to explore their real estate opportunities. The best opportunity is to go back to H&M to get replacement pants. Who knows what opportunity awaits me there?
