100 Day Challenge

A Deal A Week

Elaine Stucy

11.24 Mr. Agent, everyone is complaining about the market. Since it is Thanksgiving week, and you, like the pilgrims, seem determined to survive the long, cold winter...

I am thankful for so many things including this opportunity to say "Thanks! I am grateful for:
making the decision to get into the business when I did, five years ago;
for being healthy and able-bodied enough to get around town, door-knock, head-knock etc.
for the fact that opportunity IS everywhere and even in a time of economic downturn, we have the ability to make a good living;
for the support of my office colleagues and manager;
for my husband and partner from whom I've learned so much;
for the growing relationships and friendships with my "virtual" office mates of the 100-day challenge.
for appreciative clients;
for Boot Camp; and
for the great, inspirational coaching staff of Performance Coaching...Thank you Elaine, Steve, Fred and Jeanne (and everyone else behind the scenes). Happy Thanksgiving to you all.

I am thankful for Performance Coaching in its entirety. You all are keeping me close to sane! I am especially thankful for Excellence in Action both the group and the individuals. It is such an honor to know you and to explore our potential together.
I am thankful I've been doing real estate for awhile, and that I have so many wonderful clients and fellow Realtors that I can say I am happy to know. I appreciate the professionalism, the camaraderie, the appreciation I encounter on a regular basis.
I am grateful that I have skills to operate in this market. I am grateful my career has allowed me the time and means to enjoy life.

Mostly, I'm thankful and exceedingly grateful for the opportunity to enjoy increasing wealth creation that comes by being a Professional Realtor.
I'm consistently earning 2 to 3 times as much, annually, as I would have earned as a waiter, annually, by working in any of the very best restaurants...and it's only gonna get better!
Because of that, I have the flexibility to give more time to my Dear Sweet Mother. She's 96 and until last year has been in great health. Now she has a stenosis in her heart. A open heart surgical value replacement it out of the question at her age which would typically add years to life. Which leaves traditional medications; that gives months of life...months. So I'm suddenly and increasingly called to do for her that which if I was working lunch and dinner sifts at some fancy smancy reasturaunt, six days a week, I would not be able to do. I'd be let go of; and that would be a shame leaving my Mom all alone, then suddenly one day, she's gone. And for that I'm exceedingly grateful to be a Realtor.
My sister is in the travel industry. After 9/11, things have just not been the same. The company she worked for 11 years could not survive that blow and folded. That was 5 years ago for her and she's been having difficulty ever since. Dad also passed away about the same time, so Mom has not been able to help my sister in the fashion that Dad helped her. I've been able to help my sister in substantial ways with money that I'd never be able to do. Oddly enough, the help I've given her doesn't seem to be missed; I mean I don't feel it's loss. And for that I'm exceedingly grateful too because the greater burden on my Mother to help my sister is relieved; and I believe Dad looks on down and is pleased. And that's just two things of a long list of at least 20 other things I'm exceedingly thankful and grateful for the fruits of wealth creation that come by being a Professional Realtor

So if you don't mind would you allow me to be your Realtor for life and help you whenever you need to buy or sell real estate, you'll be hard pressed to find anyone else who's "Why" is as encompasing and urgent as mine is to me and who therefore is looking for the opportunity at hand everywhere I turn

I am grateful to be in a business where the sky is the limit. I am thankful for the great many people who have entrusted me with their real estate needs, and provided for me and my family a great family home to live. I am thankful for the many freindships and relationships I have developed over the years by being in real estate, and for their support and encouragement. I am grateful for Performance Coaching, Steve, Fred, and Elaine for opening my eyes to what is possible (A DEAL A WEEK-OPPORTUNITY IS EVERYWHERE) and the many friendships that I have developed by being a part of this group. They are showing me what is possible.

I'm thankful for my health, my amazing wife and great familly. So whether the markets are up or down I know they will always have my back and be supportive of me.

Contrary to what most of the media is saying, I think this is a fantastic market with lots of opportunity. What sort of opportunities are you interested in?

I'm thankful that I am able to make a living and have a life in this profession regardless of the market.

I am thankful for for Performance Coaching. Otherwise, I'd be eating crow. I vastly prefer Turkey.
Thanks, Elaine, Steve & Fred for teaching me the tools to thrive in a down market. I don't care how lousy the news is, I still have to make a living. I know we're all in a far better position to weather the economic downturn because of the lessons you've taught us.

The great coaching from Steve, Elaine & Fred. I feel like I have the roadmap to achieve my goals I just need to do the work.
That I've sold as many homes as I have.
How much I've grown this year mentally and my skills due to the challenging market. I'll be better off in the end as a result of all the challenges I've had to face.

I am grateful for this wonderful career in real estate. It is an amazing venue that keeps life vital and exciting. I am grateful everyday for the variety that it offers; to enjoy the beautiful area where I work, to meet so many interesting people. I am thankful that I am coached so well and have the tools to prosper. What I have learned has affected every corner of my life. The great experience of this business is that every day I am face to face with my hopes and dreams and fears and limits. I get to experience the pain and joy of growing to meet the challenges. I am so glad to be in an industry where the focus in on what we can do and be rather that what we can’t, and where we for the most part can decided and influence our own outcomes.

I am thankful every day for the people who trust me with their business; thankful for my staff who care as much as I do about our clients. I am grateful for my family who are supportive and encouraging. I am thankful that I met Steve and that he has guided and prodded me for the last 8 years and I am thankful that he introduced me to Fred, who is so encouraging, and never ceases to introduce new, uncomfortable and wise ways of thinking.

I am grateful for all the wonderful friends I have made… clients, agents, and especially the incredible people in the 100 Day Challenge. I love that we learn and grow together and stay inspired by one another. I am really thankful that I get to go home to California and see the ocean every month, one of the jillion small blessings that fill my heart with joy and keep me connected to all the wonder and love in the world. :)

Happy Thanksgiving

I'm thankful for having a career that fits like a glove to my unique talents. I'm thankful that I have buyers that have good fico scores and money to put down on a property. I'm thankful that I'm a dork and love computers and technology and that real estate is done mostly on-line. I'm thankful that I like talking to people and don't judge people on first appearances because the most unlikely people have money and good fico scores. I'm thankful that I work at a company where the owners really care about each agent and the work that they do. I'm thankful that for the great coaching from Steve, Elaine and Fred. I'm thankful that my Mother could talk to anyone, anywhere at anytime and taught me to be the same way. I'm thankful for the scripts and dialouges that help me feel like a professional and get to the truth. I'm thankful that I just closed an escrow and can pay my Beverly Hills Realtor Association dues so that can still have access to the MLS (claw). I'm thankful that my ex-husband forced me to study and take the test for my real etsate license even when I thought it was a stupid idea and didn't want to be in sales. I'm thankful that I live in California where the home prices are high and the weather is mild (in case I become homeless). I'm thankful for my friend Julie who lets me eat all her food and drink all her wine! And Julie says "Ditto"!

I've looked in the crystal ball, and I can tell you you will never be homeless!

FREDIAN THEORY....

Commitment is measured by action.

Who will do what.... when?

Are you talking to people in terms of benefit (opportunity)?

Enlightenment is being free of self-limitation.

"I like to find out what people think."

You don't vend a propportunity™ to sell that specific property, although that is a possibility. You vend opportunity to find out what people will do.

Every day you need to watch from falling into the trap of thinking, "Tomorrow things will work out."

Measure your success by what you do today.

One definition of success is... taking appropriate action.

The goal is to find out what you don't know vs. judging what you think you know. This is what it means to be "open".

Things don't get done because they don't get done today.

Great is being great today.

Your career, your year, won't come together until you break it down into the unit of today.

What are you pushing away, distraction or deals?

The practice of being in the hunt leads to production on a regular basis.

Begin each day "on purpose". Clear, connected, open, and READI.

Your decisions define who you are.

Fred Wilson
